Am I afraid of the Muslim Ideology? Yes I am. It seems to me to be controlling and violent.
Is there a difference? Some, including Tony Abbott seem to think there isn’t and we must all be tolerant to Muslims who come to Australia to live, because they will integrate.
Speaking about Geert Wilders current visit to Australia, Mr. Abbott said:
Wilders’ was “substantially” wrong about Islam and the preparedness of Muslims living in Australia to integrate. “He is entitled to his view but I think that the Muslims in this country see themselves rightly as fair dinkum, dinky-di Australians, just as the Catholics and the Jews and Protestants and the atheists, we see ourselves as Australians…………….
INTEGRATE to me means to become one of us, to join with, to unite. Am I wrong?
Most people will know that Dutch Politician Geert Wilders is in Australia on a speaking tour, explaining his understanding and stance on the Islamification of Europe. He feels his fears are well founded, and obtained the permission of the Australian Government (with some hassles) to come to Australia to share his beliefs with us so that we might take note, and possibly save ourselves from repeating the same mistakes made in other countries.
The Netherlands has been running an experiment in Multiculturalism for many years, as has Australia. Multiculturalism is the doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can coexist peacefully and equitably in a single country. This experiment has failed in the Netherlands and quiet recently the Dutch government has said:
….. it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands.
A new integration bill (covering letter and 15-page action plan), which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads: “The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people. In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role. With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.”
The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.
The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner, “it is not the government’s job to integrate immigrants.” The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress. More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.
In Australia we give freedom to migrant groups to ‘do their own thing culturally’ so long as it is not against Australian Law. However there is a push now in Our Country for the implementation of Sharia Law. As of writing this the Australian Government seems to be saying ‘no‘ to this push…. but for how long? (remember the Carbon Tax????)
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, in a submission to a parliamentary inquiry into the government’s new multiculturalism policy, argues that Muslims should enjoy “legal pluralism”.
In an interview with The Australian, the organisation’s president, Ikebal Adam Patel, who wrote the submission, nominated family law and specifically divorce as an area where moderate interpretations of sharia could co-exist within the Australian legal system.
In the submission, the AFIC acknowledges some Muslims believe Islamic law is immutable, regardless of history, time, culture and location.
“They claim that Muslims may change, but Islam will not,” it says.
This is one example – albeit a very strong and irrefutable one – that shows clearly the Muslim way of life is different from and will never be reconciled to the Australian/western way of life. Australians do not want and do not abide by ‘legal pluralism.’ No integration evident here!
Can anyone tell me why when a person says something that is not nice, not polite, or questions the sanctity of the Islamic Religion or the honored Prophet Mohammed – world war 3 almost breaks out.
Why are Muslims allowed to vilify Jews and Christians and yet no one threatens them with dire consequences, yet Jews and Christians do not have the same rights?
Why have some of Geert Wilders public talks been cancelled? Who are the people protesting at his being allowed to speak in Australia?
Andrew Bolt has a piece in the Sun Herald that makes for stimulating reading. He makes a strong case for double standards being applied when it comes to people being allowed to address crowds in Australia. He discusses the Peace Conference and Exhibition being held in Melbourne, showing that many of the speakers are in favor of Sharia Law , Jihad and violence in Islam. These speakers must have been approved by the Australian Government.
Personally I feel that any who choose to migrate to Australia should accept the rules and regulations and standards applied in this country. I do not want to see a dual standard being applied in our legal system or any other Aussie versus Muslim scenario.
Islam is not a religion per se, it is an ideology, encompassing the entire way of life of its adherents. You cannot leave Islam. You have no freedom to do that. Leave and you are an apostate.
The punishment for apostasy from Islam is a controversial topic for Muslims living in the West and for ex-Muslims everywhere. That’s because Islam teaches that apostates are to be killed. We know from historic Islamic documents that during Muhammad’s lifetime, and the lifetimes of the next four “Rightly Guided Caliphs”, tens of thousands of Muslims left the faith of Islam and thousands were killed. On a large scale the Muslims made war on groups that chose to leave Islam and massacres of apostates occurred. On a smaller scale individual apostates were executed. This death sentence is in effect whether or not the apostasy occurred in or out of the Islamic state. (still to this very day)
Geert Wilder’s is a brave man who has a price on his head! I think we should at least give him a fair hearing, after all we are giving those attending the Peace Conference and Exhibition being held in Melbourne this common courtesy.
