Why do we need to have this discussion? Why is it NOT necessary to change the Marriage Laws of Australia? I can come up with many reasons, and YES some of them are religious/ethical ones. However, it is most important to recognise that even though those who are pushing for these changes, claim it is for reasons of ‘equity’ and nothing else will change, I think we need to realise this is simply stuff and nonsense.
The family as a unit, in place for millennia to ‘father’ and ‘foster’ the next generation who will inhabit this planet, will disappear as we know it. I have yet to discover how two of the same sex can produce a child. Yes it can be done by artificial means and in cases where hetrosexual couples find it difficult to procreate, then this technology is available to them.
Once again, something that was intended to further the generations, and be a blessing to couples in distress (male-female couple) is about to be abused by homosexual couples who are demanding the right to parenthood. Two chickens cannot mate, two rabbits, two horses, two of any other species – unless there is one of each gender. Why is it then that the law will allow same sex couples to pervert nature in this way?
Those who advocate same sex marriage will tell you it is not going to pervert anything, they simply want the right to marry whom they choose – as can heterosexual couples. Of course they will push for the right to have children by any which way possible. Then they will push for the right for multiple (legal) partners. You think I joke?
Three Brazilians have been united in a civil ceremony after a public official deemed that the man and two women should be entitled to family rights as any other couple would be.
Public Notary Claudia do Nascimento Domingues, from the state of Sao Paulo, accepted the civil union between the three people, saying there is no law to prevent it happening and that it merely reflected the changing idea of family.
“We are only recognising what has always existed. We are not inventing anything,” Ms Domingues said.
“For better or worse, it doesn’t matter, but what we considered a family before isn’t necessarily what we could consider a family today.”
The three were formally united three months ago but the news had only emerged this week.
They had lived together in Rio de Janeiro for three years sharing bills and expenses and had recently opened a joint bank account.
The union has enraged some religious and legal groups, with lawyer Regina Beatriz Tavarez da Silva telling the BBC it was “absurd and totally illegal”.
The individuals originally decided to join in civil union to protect their rights in case of death or separation from a partner.
The Law of Australia, in particular the Marriage Act of 1961 says:
means the union of a man and a woman to
the exclusion of all others,
voluntarily entered into for life.
“One MAN and one WOMAN to the exclusion of all others” – what is so difficult for us to understand about that very simple sentence? It seems to me that this gaggle of homosexuals wants to change the Marriage Act, and take over the running of this country, to the detriment of all others. These people are not being discriminated against, they are merely being asked to follow the law of the country they choose to reside in. Heterosexuals follow this law so why can’t homosexuals as well?
Once they push to gain Marriage Equity, what will be their next issue they want dealt with? We have mentioned artificial means of procreation and parenthood, what about Mercy Killing? Euthanasia will be presented as freedom of choice… just like their homosexual plea to marry whom they choose.
Euthanasia – be very wary. If you become a burden on society you can be deemed unnecessary…. and Mercy Killing will seem like a great idea to rid the place of your presence. Kill off the aged, infirm and societal useless, have babies by artificial means, brought up by homosexual couples; change the laws of the land. Then sit back and wonder why the beautiful, safe way of life you and your parents once enjoyed has gone down the gurgler. Marriage is the backbone of society and once again let me say:
means the union of a man and a woman
to the exclusion of all others,
voluntarily entered into for life.
Same Sex couples already have legal rights where it counts, so why the push for marraige? So they can destroy the make-up of society as we know it.
