An Inconvenient Truth – what? another one

Do you remember that film An Inconvenient Truth which portrayed Al Gore as an idealistic college student who first saw a massive environmental crisis looming; to a young Senator facing a harrowing family tragedy that altered his perspective; to the man who almost became President but instead returned to the most important cause of his life? With an emphasis on hope, An Inconvenient Truth ultimately shows (ed) us that global warming is no longer a political issue but rather, the biggest moral challenge facing our civilization today.

Well at least that is what Director Davis Guggenheim would have had you believe back in 2006 when the film was released. Of course since then hundreds (if not more) people and organizations have shown to the world just how wrong that assessment was. I have heard it said that An Inconvenient Truth is actually Convenient Fiction!

The Centre for Science & Public Policy Institute told us back in 2007 that Al made (counted at that time) 35 errors in his over hyped Movie, yet he is still held in ultra high esteem in the media. Thankfully the Polar Bears are not disappearing, and neither are the Himalayan Glaciers. The Great Barrier Reef corals will not die either and sea levels are not rising to threaten island communities. But there is a lot of money to be made off green, so called “planet saving” projects! Do your own research and see how many of these projects Al Gore is involved with… what kind of money he is making off all of this.

I hope you can see that there has been a tremendous amount of hype concerning what I term natural weather variations – that is the stance I take. I do not say the climate is not changing, it has in the past, it is currently doing so and, I believe in the future we will see other changes which we have not, so far, predicted.

Once again we are finding the supposed consensus on Global Warming being severely challenged.  Another Inconvenient Truth is emerging!

…. after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years.

The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.

Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.

Meanwhile, leading climate scientists yesterday told The Mail on Sunday that, after emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food.

Now really this should not be seen as New News because Russian Scientists kind of predicted this back in 2011.

In a study of cyclic behavior of the Sun, Russian scientists now predict 100 years of cooling.

These are not just any scientists. This forecast comes from astrophysicist Dr Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, and head of Space Research of the Sun Sector at the Pulkovo Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Russian scientists began by looking at a paper published by J. A. Eddy* in 1976 that documented the correlation between sunspot activity and corresponding large – and disruptive – climate changes on Earth.  Disruptive because the changes frequently lead to economic and demographic crises that affected the existence of entire nations.

Conducting research similar to Eddy’s, Russia’s Eugene Borisenkov** discovered a quasi 200- year cycle of global cooling during the past 7,500 years that correlates to times of sunspot minima similar to the Maunder minimum. (These were also times when any industrial influence was non-existent, Abdussamatov points out. )

Our planet warms and cools in predictable 200-year cycles corresponding to 200-year variations in the size and luminosity of the Sun, the scientists found. Previous global warmings – of which there have been many – have always been followed by deep cooling.

The 200-year variations in sunspot activity and total solar irradiance (TSI) are the dominating reason for climate change, says Abdussamatov. “In whole, the solar cycles are a key to our understanding of different cyclic variations in the nature and society.”

These definitely are interesting times we live in people, and darned inconvenient too
if your name is Al Gore, David Cameron, Julia Gillard and many other folk in the public arena who are doing all they can to make money off the scam otherwise known as Manmade Climate Change.

I must admit I love reading these Inconvenient News Items, many of which you have to go actively searching for, because the Lame Stream Media is discouraged from telling you about them. It is more than the World Currency which will be freezing me thinks.

  1. Reblogged this on The GOLDEN RULE and commented:
Thanksfor this meaningful and apt post. Truth is not always what it seems. Perhaps the word ‘truth’ now means ‘whatever a person wants it to be!’ However, WE know that the evidence, both scientific and motivational, is clearly not supporting the “incontrovertable” global warming/CO2 relationship.

  2. Another fine piece of writing. Isn’t it strange how quiet the likes of Prof Tim Flannery and Tanya Plibersek have been lately. I notice they still have their waterfront properties; they haven’t sold them and headed for the hills. So much for “our dams will never be full again.” If they built another couple of dams, they’d probably be filled by the end of the year too.

The area of Sydney I live in has extremely high temperatures in summer — up to 45C and humidity can reach 100%. Today is 31 and the humidity is 53%. They say tomorrow will be 31 and the rest of the week 23-25 (oh no, climate change is real) with the possibility of rain all week. Last week we had 55 mm of rain in 36 hours, 40 mm of rain two days before that. In fact, we’ve had so much rain, my cucumbers and zucchini are suffering powdery mildew on their leaves, my tomato plant leaves are going yellow because the ground is waterlogged and the tomatoes themselves are taking ages to ripen because we aren’t having enough sun. Yep, dams are definitely going to dry up.

  3. Just more BS and wanting to tax CO2, facts are irrelevant to the warmists, they appeal to the feeler emotionals who just know that it is happening in spite of huge evidence to the contrary.
