I believe it doesn’t matter where you stand in regard to the phenomenon known as WikiLeaks.
Be you pro or anti what Julian Assange and his team of gathers and reporters are currently revealing, you must recognize that there are powerful interests abroad who would much rather information of this type – not be divulged to the general public. These ‘interests’ cry out that top secret information is being revealed, information which is dangerous, private, and strictly confidential. Therefore Mr. Assange should be considered as an international terrorist, and be treated accordingly.
Somewhere back in my memories, I seem to see an image of secret and sensitive information ONLY being passed along in an encrypted – encoded form. Maybe I watch too many James Bond movies, but it makes perfect sense that private and confidential information would be passed along to the appropriate government departments in such a way as this.
Every embassy (according to television and movie screen) has an encryption room for this very purpose. They don’t simply write it down on a post-it-note, or put it in an ordinary or even priority paid letter and send it thru the mail. Emails are not a secure way of passing along sensitive information, and telephones are definitely not safe for this task either. Remember back in the ‘olden days’ telegrams were not considered safe either.
So with all of the above NOT suitable methods, it seems to me that the only ‘safe’ way to pass along ultra sensitive information was by word of mouth or encrypted data. Neither of which Julian Assange would have had access to. Therefore he cannot be actually passing along Top Secret information, because it was not encrypted/encoded. Much of what he and his associates are revealing is behind the scenes ‘bitchiness’ which is embarrassing to certain world governments, but not life or planetary threatening.
Now having said all that, it comes to mind that these ‘certain world governments’ would stop at nothing to ‘save face’. They are embarrassed that they have been caught out back knifing their so called friends in other embassy’s and government departments around the world.
They are screaming ever louder the need for internet censorship, and being able to cite WikiLeaks is a bonus for them.
A question keeps surfacing as I write these words, about whether in fact this whole WikiLeaks scenario is a staged event. Could it simply be a clever deception by the powers that be, to enforce strict internet censorship? Ponder on that if you will!
Remember that the internet as it currently stands, is the only uncensored media on the planet, therefore it would make perfect sense for ‘them’ who want to control what we read, hear and learn about, to find a way that meets with our approval, to limit our access to genuine open learning.
What better way, than to try and terrorize us into believing there are baddies out there who do not have ours – our nation’s best interests at heart. The evil baddie Julian Assange and his band of supporters are such types as these. They must be stopped.
The United Nations is considering whether to set up an inter-governmental working group to harmonise global efforts by policy makers to regulate the internet.
Establishment of such a group has the backing of several countries, spearheaded by Brazil.
At a meeting in New York on Wednesday, representatives from Brazil called for an international body made up of Government representatives that would attempt to create global standards for policing the internet – specifically in reaction to challenges such as WikiLeaks.

(NaturalNews) The internet truly is the last bastion of free speech that has yet to be taken over by corporate or political forces and censored, at least in the U.S. But the United Nations (UN) is now considering working towards establishing an international governing body to regulate internet content, which would eventually eliminate online freedom of speech.
Brazilian representatives recently called on UN officials to create “global standards” for internet content, citing controversial web content like WikiLeaks that some consider a threat to national and global security. Backed by several other supporting nations including China and Saudi Arabia, the proposal would not constitute an internet takeover, say its authors. But this appears untrue as it would clearly hand over powers to international governing bodies to arbitrarily regulate internet content.
Representatives from the U.S., Australia, Belgium, Canada and the U.K. all expressed concerns about the proposal, but not necessarily for the right reasons. Instead of pinning the idea as a tyrannical threat to free speech, the representatives expressed political concerns about how such proposals encourage the growing divide between governments and the people over whom they govern.
Government takeover of the internet has already begun in the U.S., though, as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently began unlawfully seizing various websites that it deemed in violation of copyright laws (http://www.naturalnews.com/030542_c… ). And the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is now seeking to assert control over the internet as well, even though the agency does not legally have the power to do so (http://www.naturalnews.com/030647_W… ). Freedom of speech is what makes the internet a valuable source of information that would otherwise never see the light of day, in many cases. Without it, the free flow of information would be largely crippled and all that would be left is government-approved mainstream media outlets.
A final thought for you to ponder.
I am an avid reader of alternative – complimentary health sites, all of which show me where to look and learn about methods of treating illness that do not necessarily involve taking drugs, or turning to life threatening procedures that are normally imposed on people by the standard medical cartel, owned by Big Pharma. This of course is absolutely detested by them, and they do all in their power to discredit these age old and credible methods of healing.
IF for example our internet access is to be regulated thru a United Nations Agency, I feel fairly certain in prophesying that our access to alternative information will be denied – as being bad for us. I also feel certain that we will only be told what they want us to know. Think of what is currently happening in China, and then see it happening all over the world.
Good Bye freedom of thought and learning, welcome to 1984. The Noose is Tightening, can you feel it?
