>An Inconvenient Christmas ~~~~

on a disbelieving Pharaoh
who thought he was greater than God.

Perhaps God sent some messages down to disbelievers in Copenhagen and in Washington D.C. with these early season snow blizzards reminding them that humans are not in charge of mother nature and just are not as almighty as they think they are.

Kevin and Penny are not god’s either.
Australia too was fraught with its own share of
‘inconvenient’ weather over the Christmas period.

Central Australian sites brace for wild weather

Big Wet Christmas Day Floods for NSW

Gippsland fires rage despite cool change

Of Course Mr. Brown should take heed too

Big freeze expected to hit the UK

And in Europe too:

Big freeze kills at least 80 across Europe

The following statement seems conspicuously

MISSING in the Australian Media.
One wonders why?

(to date, 31,486 American scientists have signed this petition,
including 9,029 with PhDs )

We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals.
The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.
Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.
This petition has been signed by over 31,000 American scientists.
Ahhhhh But you say there are thousands of scientists in consensus about Man Made Global Warming being the scourge of humankind…. coming immediately, if not sooner if we do not curb our carbon emmissions.
Have you actually checked those facts? It maybe worth doing so you know.

A new study using methods endorsed by the Al Gore crowd
concludes that there is no “consensus” among scientists that man is contributing to global warming. Also can 31,000 scientists be wrong?
Just ME in T says:
Do we have any Australian Scientists who argue the case that AGW is a hoax?
Is anyone “Down Under” demanding open and honest scrutiny of the ‘Climategate‘ emails and files, or are we just going to keep burying our heads and pretend this is all a scam?
If AGW is NOT a reality, do we need a carbon tax?
Some questions to ponder while we watch the evening weather on TV.
Till next time, stay safe, keep warm and PRAY for your politicians.
Since writing and asking this question I have come across the following information which is is most uplifting.
In an Open Letter to UN Secretary-General
His Excellency Ban Ki Moon
Secretary-General, United Nations
New York, NY
United States of America

December 8, 2009

We the undersigned, being qualified in climate-related scientific disciplines, challenge the UNFCCC and supporters of the United Nations Climate Change Conference to produce convincing OBSERVATIONAL EVIDENCE for their claims of dangerous human-caused global warming and other changes in climate. Projections of possible future scenarios from unproven computer models of climate are not acceptable substitutes for real world data obtained through unbiased and rigorous scientific investigation.
The following signatures to this letter were from Australian Scientists.
Colin Barton, B.Sc., PhD, Earth Science, Principal research scientist (retd), Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Robert M. Carter, PhD, Professor, Marine Geophysical Laboratory, James Cook University, Townsville, Australia

David Evans, PhD (EE), MSc (Stat), MSc (EE), MA (Math), BE (EE), BSc, mathematician, carbon accountant and modeler, computer and electrical engineer and head of ‘Science Speak’, Scientific Advisory Panel member – Australian Climate Science Coalition, Perth, Western Australia, Australia
