Looking For A New Backbone

It seems whichever way you look in Australian Politics today there is consensus that we need to reduce Carbon Dioxide (which the government calls) Carbon Pollution.

The Brown-Gillard-Independents group is calling for a carbon tax to reduce emissions and save the planet. Of course the general public are screaming out in protest, but not being heard.

The Liberal-National Coalition is proposing a Direct Action Plan to reduce Carbon (Dioxide) emissions by the same amount, and in the same time frame as the Brown-Gillard-Independents scheme. Can we say same horse, different course? Well that is my take on the situation.

So Dear friends, should the thinkable occur and Julia Gillard be thrown down as Kevin Rudd was – and (whoopee) an election be called, who would you vote for?

If you too have already discerned that climate change is a natural occurrence, following cycles, which run from warm to cool over periods of time – you have a problem. If you are following the news and have learned that the planet has not warmed over the preceding ten years – then you have some serious questions.

You should also be questioning the way certain terminology is being used in the media. Terminology such as ‘Carbon Pollution’ is very misleading. What is really meant when this expression is used is Carbon Dioxide Pollution. The new Carbon Tax being introduced in Australia is a tax on those who create carbon dioxide

It really matters not which political party is in power; both want to tax / deal with Carbon Dioxide Pollution. How do I know this? Well The Brown-Gillard government are selling their Carbon Dioxide Pollution Plan right now across Australia via media advertisements costing taxpayers $25 million dollars.

When Greg Hunt (Shadow Minister for Climate Action, Environment and Heritage) was asked where the Liberals stood on manmade (AGW) Global Warming (climate change) he answered: We oppose the tax, accept the science”.

What the people of Australia need is a politician with backbone! One who will stand up as diametrically opposed to those who are currently in power.

WE NEED: One who opposes the necessity for charging a price on carbon dioxide emissions. Don’t forget you exhale carbon dioxide, and plants thrive on it.  We are a Carbon Based Life Form!

One who will stand tall and argue against the theory of manmade climate change.

One who will encourage the scientists to openly discuss the information they have collected, so that those scientists who have information and data which shows the earth is not warming, the sun is major contributor, influencing the climate on this planet and other variables – can be heard without scorn.

One who will show leadership at the United Nations and call them to account for the hysteria they have generated.

That being said, if Tony Abbott opposed poor air quality and industrial environmental pollution, he should come out and say so. He would have the support of (I estimate) the entire nation.

If Tony Abbott were to stand tall and assume the qualities listed above, then we would finally have an opposition leader. Right now we have a Gillard parallel with no visible backbone.

Maybe the Italian Scientists could make one for him out of rattan!

  1. I would vote for the least dangerous member of Parliament who doesn’t endorse the Greenie Agenda. Sad commentary true, but given the choices we have, or lack of choices, who is there in politics right now, to save our collective butts? I would choose ‘the lesser of 2 weevils’.
